Designing Dreams

Students will begin to learn the fundamentals and importance of saving and start to create a plan to start saving their money.  Students will also learn how to set financial goals from short to long term applications.

 

Step One: Pretest

  • Students are to complete provided pretest containing questions pertaining to the keys components of saving to measure baseline of knowledge.

  • Teacher answer key provided.

Step Two: Vocabulary

  • Students are to complete provided vocabulary worksheet.

  • Teacher answer key provided.

 

Step Three: Savings Scenarios

  • Students will evaluate scenarios to test their knowledge of possible ways that they may save their money, and how they will do so.

 

Step Four: Setting Financial Goals

  • Students will be tasked with setting financial goals that they believe they can reach within a short-term, intermediate-term, and long-term.

  • Students will then create a detailed savings plan in order to reach their financial goals in a timely manner.

 

Step Five: Post Test

  • Students are to complete provided post test containing questions pertaining to the keys components of savings from throughout the lesson to measure obtained knowledge.

  • Teacher answer key provided.
