DECA

Students will learn how to properly fill out a check, as it is a necessary skill moving into adulthood.  Students will also learn the benefits of creating a checking and/or savings account and follow the steps to do so.

 

Step One: Pretest

• Students are to complete provided pretest containing questions pertaining to the keys components of banking to measure baseline of knowledge.

• Teacher answer key provided.

 

Step Two: Apply for a Loan

• Students will learn how to properly fill out an applications for a loan dependent on one of their financial goals from previous lessons.

• Budgeting Buddies loan application provided.

 

Step Three: Fill Out a Check

• Students will learn how to properly fill out a check based on the provided Budgeting Buddies scenario.

• Worksheet for check scenarios provided.

 

Step Four: Post Test

• Students are to complete provided post test containing questions pertaining to the keys components of banking from throughout the lesson to measure obtained knowledge.

• Teacher answer key provided.
